We are seeking a senior-level Direct Sales Executive / Trade Marketing Representative to join our team in Parkmore, Sandton, 2196, South Africa. This critical role is designed for a commercially driven professional who will leverage a strong background in trade marketing and direct client engagement. You will be instrumental in securing high-value advertising contracts by directly engaging brands, rather than solely through agency relationships, across our extensive digital out-of-home network.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by selling digital screen media space across Relativ's full DOOH portfolio.
- Leverage existing FMCG, retail, beverage, and brand-side connections to secure advertising partnerships.
- Translate trade marketing and shopper marketing strategies into effective DOOH media campaigns for clients.
- Identify new business opportunities and build lasting relationships with media agencies, direct clients, and brand marketers.
- Develop tailored proposals that align Relativ's network with each client's audience, geography, and campaign objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams on campaign execution, reporting, and performance optimisation.
- Consistently exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and contribute to the expansion of the network.
The Ideal Candidate
- Background: 5+ years in trade marketing, brand management, shopper marketing, or media sales, with exposure to FMCG, retail, or consumer brand environments.
- Sales Ability: Proven track record of securing large advertising or marketing contracts and consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Network: Strong existing relationships with media agencies, FMCG brands, retail marketers, and brand decision-makers.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities; comfortable presenting to senior marketers and agency planners.
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial, results-driven, and thrives in a high-performance sales environment with uncapped earning potential.
