We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Manager to join our Health and Safety Department. Based in Vereeniging, South Africa, this mid-level role is critical in driving our environmental stewardship initiatives and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The Environmental Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping our sustainable practices, minimizing our ecological footprint, and championing a culture of environmental responsibility across our operations, contributing significantly to our long-term sustainability goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) for projects.
• Lead environmental compliance audits and inspections across active construction sites.
• Manage all environmental permitting processes for new and ongoing construction initiatives.
• Design and deliver environmental awareness training for construction crews and site management.
• Oversee stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs) and erosion control measures.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate environmental best practices into construction methodologies.
• Maintain accurate environmental records and prepare regulatory reports for authorities.
• Evaluate and approve subcontractor environmental management plans and performance.
